HROneFirst things first, employee engagement activities and their results differ from company to company. Keeping this in mind, HRs and managers should first know the pulse of their employees and then figure out what will work best for them. That being said, here are some ways every company can maintain engagement in the long run:
Promote robust communication
Keep employees informed about vital updates
Prioritize continuous feedback
Consider their ideas and opinions
Appreciate and acknowledge their hard work
Simplify their work by implementing right tools and software
There is more to it but only the top ones are mentioned here.
Hope it helps you.

There is a lot of stuff on employee engagement previously posted by members of the CiteHR community.
You can adapt from the material already posted to create a program specifically for YOUR organisation. Every organisation is different, so it is not a one size fits all proposition.

jagadeesh167Unless there is no strong and attractive compensation and benefit policy in the company, there is no use with these employee engagement activities. These are add-ons which will be effect less percentage on employee productivity. As well have to provide the employee quality of work life too.

Employee engagement should be the essential part in HR operations in every organization irrespective of any country.
Employees should be productively engaged in the organization, contribute in creating a good team and achieve desired outcomes through this process.
If the the HR is visionary in his/ her approach, definitely such activities will prove productive and worthy, as employees feel
1. Acknowledged, valued and charged.
2. Employees get personally attached to the organization and a sense of belongingness is developed.
3. Teams gets more stronger and can develop shared common objectives faster.
There should be a thoughtful process which must include the following points:
1. Communicate how important your team is by acknowledging and encouraging the employees in public. It develops an appreciating culture.
2. Motivating the employees to achieve the short term and long term objectives.
3. There should be a timely, defined evaluation on set objectives by the assigned managers.
