Dear Team, I got transferred to Adilabad. It is 150 km far away from my place. My report date has been given but I am unable to report on the given date due to some personal problem. Can I take 2 weeks of privilege leave and join later....or do I have to report for sure... Couldn't it be postponed... plz help

When the date is given for reporting at the transferred place, the expectation is that it will be complied. Since you are already relieved you will have to approach the new office for leave. In case it is agreed your purpose is served. Otherwise, you may have to report on the given date and then seek leave.

The decision of your leave is matter under consideration of your management. You could have asked for leave when got transferred to Adilabad. It would be good for you to discuss with the boss and asked to grant seven days leave for the reason in mail.
One does not reporting to place of duty on appointed date and proceeding on leave without grant of leave is a serious misconduct.
This is a matter between employee and employer. You can take as many leaves on your account but on grant by the employer.
