Hello, One of my friends accidentally sends dummy testing records to a personal email id instead of a client email id.
He reported the incident in the company. The company started an investigation on the incident.
Will he be terminated in this scenario. Will he get an experience letter if he is terminated.

Hello,
Although data breach is not an acceptable mistake in any case, but the situation you mentioned shows that it was genuinely by mistake as the employee himself reported the incident.
If the investigation report also states the same, then there is no possibility of termination. They might take the hold of personal email-ID.
But in case termination happens, then experience letter is not applicable. It would be an immediate termination (without any notice.)

It is difficult to say anything in the matter without knowing the facts as a whole. It is not known, whether the conduct of employee is a misconduct under the policy of establishment.
As per the post company has started an investigation in to the matter means a grievous nature. The management would definitely ask your friend why he did so. It is too early to do anything by your friend, wait till the end of inquiry and action by the management.
