Laws related to working hours in bpo
Is there any law for the maximum working hours in bpo. i work for 10 hours of shift which can be a night shift or a day shift. this 10 hours includes 1 hour break. these 10 hours are extended upto 11 hours everyday. earlier we use to do 9 hour shift 8 hrs working 1 hr break no night shift. and these 9 hrs were also extended upto 10 hrs. suddenly the working hours are increased from 9 hrs to 10 hrs and we have to do night shifts now. but there is no change in our salary. no hike as there is increase in working hrs. and no night shift allowance.

Dear seniors. do help me with my confusion related to the working hours as per the factory act: 48 hours is the maximum limit for a oneweek work capacity and the employers are flexible to choose this work time and make it available in 4 days 5 days or 6day week structure. 1 in 4day week structure 12 hrs is the spread over where working hrs is 5 hrs work0.5 hrs rest5 hrs work0.5 hrs rest1 hr work in this system if a worker exceeds 12 hrs but not more than 30 min is he eligible for overtime? 2 what will be the working hours for 5day & 6day week structure? what will be the overtime rule in both the cases? 3 what is the percentage of basic pay? is it 50 of ctc or gross salary?

Dear all i am working in construction company xxx limited on project site and the working time here is 8am to 6/7/8pm and as per manager requirement1012 hrs in day all day in weak without sunday leave even if we take average 10.50hrs in day so we are still working 73.50hrs in a weak and in the new circular dated 23rd nov 2020 ceo has clearly mentioned that if employee does not reach the office before 8am will be considered as absent and necessary disciplinary action will be initiated as circular has enclosed herewith. it s pertinent to mention here that i researched on labour law consequently i found about section41 of factories act 1948 act no. 63 of 1948 says "subject to the provisions of section 51 not adult worker shall be required or allowed to work in a factory for more than nine hours in any day: 1provided that subject to the previous approval of the chief inspector the daily maximum specified in this section may be exceeded in order to facilitate the change of shifts." therefore i have some question as mention below: 1. does factories act 1948 act no. 63 of 1948 apply to construction company? 2. if no then is it legal to take the working 1012 hours from an employee? kindly resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Hi in our company there is no overtime system. one of my employee working between 10.30am to 10.00 pm that is 11.30 hrs but we give breaks to him with in every 4 hrs. total working hrs is not more than 8 hrs clarify me
