I am from Hyderabad, got a job in Banglore, and work location is also Bangalore but my company is asking me to provide a Police Clearance Certificate. I approached a local PS and enquired about PCC they said PS these days cannot issue PCC as everything is done online further they said that I have to register on the Passport Seva Kendra website and apply from the PSK portal itself which will take 21 days for PCC to process. I enquired about my HR and she too said that it's done online these days through PSK only.

After following their instructions, I have created my account on the PSK portal and was trying to upload my details and I came across a mandatory field which is asking me "Country for which PCC is required" Now, I cannot proceed further because as I need PCC for local purpose i.e. in India only and I cannot find such option or select India. How do I proceed further?

I need this PCC to be submitted to my company for the on-boarding process to complete. Just want to know from the expert HRs as to what I need to do to get it to work. Your help is highly appreciated.

Basically it companies responsibility to take necessary verifications from their own for hired employees.
In your case, if company is not doing the said verification...... then better to go online site for such verification.
In some states there are some centralize police sites and some states through PSK or you may be approach to DM office for such verifications.
