Dear Sir While bifurcating gross salary what will be the minimum percentage for fixing basic salary. Please suggest with relevant rule.

bifurcating can depend on whether ,He/She want's to contribute to PF or not for
ex: if a person has been appointed for Rs.20000 then (basic :16000)(HRA : 3000)(conve :1000)
in case not wanted to contribute PF.
case'2:if want to contribute then (Basic:15000) (HRA:3000) (Conve:2000)

My intention of quistion is that some of employers pay the higher wages to heir employee but to reduce PF liability they fix the basic very nominal. Is there any minimum fixed percentage for fixing the basic?

Sir,
There is no hard and fast rule as to fixation of basic salary out of gross salary. But the general rule is basic salary should not be less than minimum wage fixed by the respective state governments.
