I work for a BPO company in Gurgaon, I was not able to work post Janta Curfew in March 2020 as I was out of station at the time of curfew and could not get a proper internet connection in order to work from home. Tried using mobile hot-spot and dongle to start working but the website was giving errors in doing so. Then in mid of June, I was able to get a broadband connection and told my supervisor I can start working. He asked me to wait for some time, so I did, then on 24th he asked me to login and start working.
I worked for the remainder of the month of June and July (with occasional leaves due to power cuts and network issues). On 3rd August salary was paid for all the other employees with mine being the only exception. I was told that the issue was due to the leaves I had taken which is causing the issue for the delay. To my knowledge my manager raised the request to correct the issue and pay the salary on the next payout cycle (10th of the month).
A few days later my laptop stopped working due to damage and I needed the salary to repair the same as a considerable amount was required for the same. I informed the supervisor about the issue and he informed that the issue is raised and I needed to wait for the payout date for the salary.
The salary was not paid on 10th of August so the Employee Care (EC) department told that the salary will be paid on the next payout date that is the 18th of August and asked me to wait till then because there was a miscommunication with the Payroll department.
Still on the 18th of the month the salary was not credited and the EC asked me to wait further till 24-25th of the month for the salary. Even then the salary was not credited to my account and then they told that the issue is now fixed and promised it would be credited at the next payout date which is the 1st of September (which is still not credited, today is the 10th of Sept).
It has been more than a month, the salary has not been paid till now, the EC department is making false commitments regarding the whole situation, I have not been able to repair the laptop due to non-availability of money which is making me unable to work for more than a month.
I do not have the salary for the month of July (where I worked for the whole month) for the month of August (where I could not work due to issue with the laptop) and still there is no concrete information as to when they will disperse the salary. The EC department is still asking me to wait for the next payout date which could be either the 10th or 18th of September.
Please guide me as to what should I do in order to get the salary because I am fed-up emailing and calling the EC dept. again and again regarding the issue.
