Am working as an HR in the manufacturing industry, Karnataka. Onroll we are 13 members, & 45+ contract labours, now the query is how to set salary department wise - after salary increased few employees not satisfied on their salary, ex: account, HR, Supervisor & MR. So how I calculate their salary? what guidelines I follow? is there any consideration points? how to differ salary between Accounts & HR department ? to whom I have to pay more? Kindly clarify

When you have only 13 employees on regular , there is no need for detailed departmental structure. Generally flat structure is to be preferred rather than multi-layered organisation. One way is to combine all technical employees in one department and all non-technical personnel in another. But basically the principle is that the organisational structure has to follow the strategy. So the structure you choose has to fit the strategy of the organisation. So kindly have a look at the organisation and decide accordingly.
