Hello All, I want to know, can a manpower supplier based proprietorship firm have one PF and ESIC registration from their registered place of business, says Odisha, work or supply manpower in any other state say Andhra Pradesh and Telangana without obtaining separate registration or code for that areas? Or does he have to take separate or multiple registrations wherever he supplies manpower services, although he does not have any fixed establishment in any other state except Odisha?

Hello Sidharth, Separate Regn. for each state would be necessary (CLRA, EPF-fro sub-code, GST/PT). PAN can remain the same.

Dear Sidharth-Kapoor1,
Your question is on PF and ESI registration. Whether this registration will apply to another States or you need to take separate registration, this you want to know. The correct answer to you is as under:
As regards to PF: PF code number is issued in the name of organisation for all over India. No two or more separate numbers are issued in the name of any organisation. However, you can apply for sub-code(s) for administrative purpose. This separate code number(s) is(are) not required now, since the PF department is IT rolled out entirely. Every thing is now online there.
As regards to ESI: ESI code number is also issued in the name of organisation for all over India. However, it is always suggested to go for separate sub codes from ESIC under the original code number issued to you for every such establishments / branches in other regions. This is because, the IP should able to get cash benefit from the ESI office nearby.
Hope you will get convinced with my reply.
