Dear All, One of my Friends has been issued a show-cause notice for hiring an employee who does not have a CNIC. And at the time of hiring, she submitted b-form and she told him that she will get her CNIC from a NADRA office within a week. But after her hiring, she was asked that why she has not submitted her CINC she responded she hasn't applied for it yet. Please advice how to respond to this show cause

Hi Ahsan-Md.,
I have not fully understood about docs that are not filed. But in view of urgency I could relate few things and try to express my views.
You have been given 24 hrs to submit a reply to the SCN. From what you have explained you are clearly negligent in allowing the candidate to join. When did it happen?
In the circumstances I have to suggest the following -
1. Accept the mistake, Apologise with an undertaking that you will do the needful within a reasonable time.
2. If possible, after taking due approval from the authorities concerned, ask the candidate not to attend duty with immediate effect and she can rejoin only with the requisite documents. Till such time the appointment is put on hold (till for a period, say one week, 10-15 days maximum, failing which the offer automatically gets revoked).
3.As an interim, Seek time to submit a suitable reply to the SCN. Meanwhile ask the candidate to submit the originals of the documents.
4.Obtain an undertaking from the candidate that she will have no claim whatsoever and abstain from work till such time she submits the documents as required.
5.Consult the concerned authorities to help you to solve the issue in the manner they would concurr to.
You can try any and/or all the above possible steps.
