Yes - any temporary human resource addition to your Organization's payroll should be provided with a relieving letter stating necessary details like - tenure, last position, location, department, temporary employee ID, etc.
This holds true irrespective of work arrangements, tenure, project requirements, cost center absorption/ normalization.
