Never Too Late to Learn Lesson-4

-“What should Internal Committees Do if Employee-Respondent Seeks Compromise with Aggrieved-Woman-Complainant?”-

While participating as IC Member (External) in IC Inquiry Proceedings into a Sexual Harassment Complaint, the Employee-Respondent sought permission for a Compromise with the Complainant and closing Inquiry at that stage. The Aggrieved Woman-Complainant was perplexed. She was an Employee at Assistant Level whereas Employee-Respondent held Senior Managerial Position.

The “Issue” before this Internal Committee was “What Decision would be Appropriate, Fair, Just, Proper and Lawful”?

I earnestly seek CiteHR Member-Readers Opinion or Views so that a Lawful decision is taken by Internal Committees- present and Future.
