Hell, I am Poonacha.M.P, Head Aviation and Accountable Manager working for Non Schedule Air Operator based in Bangalore. In view of the lockdown which we had for the past 2 months most of our employees had left Bangalore by 24 Mar 2020. At present we have extended WORK FROM HOME till 10 Jun 2020. At present some of the employees have come back and completed their quarantine period. However, some of the staffs who are with us for over 10 years now are not wanting to come back and instead asking us to extend WORK FROM HOME for next 2 months which is not possible. At the outset can anyone share suggestions to handle this issue and also let me know if in case company can ask for the travel history of these staffs.

You need to communicate to all such employees that they need to come back to work as the WFH is not a viable alternative and there is sufficient improvement of the overall situation in the city but with strict adherence to the safety precautions. You need to caution them that unless they report, the industry cannot afford the salary being paid. Prepare an SOP for the actvities being performed in the office. While being strict as regards office attendance, you have to go the extra mile to assuage the fears and apprehensions they may have. Unless you act decisively, the employees who have reported so far will have a grouse and that will be defintely more harmful.
