Dear all, Shall we allow the Employee to work at company whose family member/s has been home quarantined? What does the law suggests?

If the concerned employee is staying away from his family, you can allow him to work. Else, it is not advisable.

There is no particular law on this However guidelines suggested by MHA & state govt. indicated that quarantine period is for 14 days. In view of above this is suggested to keep away from work for 14 days. Post 14 days , employees family member should go for COVID-19 test. After founding negative report employee should be take on duty.

In any case you should ask the employee to produce a COVID test report for himself and act upon.

Dear friend,
At present condition the employee should not allow to as his family members were put on home quarantine in suspect of Infection. If there is urgency conduct the covid test before put him in job.

Don't allow in large interest of organization. It is better to keep him away from factory or office at least for a week on company leave. Also, need to ensure his self declaration and medical fitness before joining duty again.
