My wife has been diagnosed with subchorionic heamorrhage after 3 months of pregnancy and been admitted in hospital for 3 weeks. The baby is healthy and pregnancy is ongoing. Will she be able to avail these 3 weeks leave (before availing maternity leave of 26 weeks) as per section of maternity benefit act as illness caused due to pregnancy.
