My dad worked for W.B Municipality from 2002-2018 and he has not got his pensions and gratuity till date. So can anyone help me where can I lodge the complaint? We have reached out the authority but they have no solution regarding the same

Was there any issue when he retired?
Normally such issues do not come up unless there was some problem in paper work.

He was working as sweeper before he got promoted to driver in 2002. We have in writing that he and one of his colleague was promoted from sweeper to driver in 2002. So, when he got retired on 1st Aug, 2018. He was told that he will get his pensions. Later, when the payment was delayed we went to the office to find out. We came to know from the authorities that the promotion which he and his colleagues received was not submitted to the Kolkata headquarters. And when we asked them about the pensions. They only say that they have sent the email and Kolkata headquarters have not replied. Later again they told us that my dad and his colleague has to pay all the salaries whatever they have received as a driver and keep the amount of the sweeper and same when with pension. My point is my dad and his colleague didn't ask for promotion. It was the authorities who gave them the promotion as their was the vacancy for two. It's their duty to sent the promoters list to the headquarters. Whenever we visit the office they don't really care about the workers. The driver union association heads says they'll go Kolkata. Still they have not went to the authorities.

It is time to raise levels of complaint and even visit HQ in Kolkotta personally.
They cannot recover wages in this fashion.
You need to document the whole issue and keep it in the knowledge of higher authorities.
