Sir, we have retrenched 4 employees. All procedures as per Section 25F of the Industrial Disputes Act were strictly followed. The "First Come, First Go" principle was applied. The reason for the retrenchment was "Economic Re-Organisation and exigency of Business". However, the Labour Court has set aside the retrenchment award.

I would like to inquire whether we need to provide documentary evidence to support the reason for the retrenchment.

The rule has to be adapted in case of retrenchment is "last come first go" not as you have adapted.

What are the grounds on which the Retrenchment has been set aside?

Anyhow, "Economic Re-Organisation and exigency of Business" is too vague and bald to constitute a succinct ground unless supported by proper pleading in the proceeding before the Labour Court.
