Hi all, How much is the minimum yearly increment percentage that an employer must give? Is there any kind of act that dictates the minimum percentage slab ? Thank you.
From India, undefined
There is no act which dictates minimum amount of increment to an employee. It is purely for the management to decide the quantum of increment.
But for a smooth operation of business, it is suggested that the increment to be awarded shall be linked to the performance of employee in the job.
In order words, you may evolve suitable Performance Appraisal policy and performance reward policy and put it in place.

OK sir. is this increment percentage calculated on gross or ctc?
From India, undefined
I studied that the annual increment is calculated on CTC. is this correct ? if not, which one is the right way to calculate.

Whatever you have studied, need not be the yardstick, to be followed in an Organization.
From your post, I understand that you are not having a good Performance Appraisal &
Increment Policy.
For evolving a Policy on this, you can contact me, if you require any help or assistance.
