---Internal Committee is Redressal Mechanism For Complaints of Sexual Harassment at Workplace---
Most Major Duty of Internal Committees in India is Redressal of all the Complaints of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Filed y/Submitted by the Aggrieved Woamn-Complainant and or by Any other Person so authorized by the relevant Law/Act.
Internal Committees are constituted under Section-4 of the "Sexual Harassment of Woman at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition &Redressal) Act 2013 which is in force since 9.12.2013. The Prime Mode of Redressalof SH Complaints is by Inquiry into the SH Complaints to ascertain/ Find Out/ conclude definitelyand conclusively "whether the SH Complaint dealt with/ enquired into" ny the Internal Committee is TRUE or FALSE.
Internal Committees have Three (03) Members Nominated from amongst Employees of the concerned Workplcae and Quite Likely Are Not Fully Familiar (sometimes not even aware of) with the Inquiry Procedures which have to be conducted in accordance with the Twin Principles of Natural Justice" the above mentioned Act of 2013 Mandated that the Employers shall Compulsorily Organize Workshops/ Programs to enable the Employee-Members to Become Fully-Familiar" with the Prescibed Inquiry Procedures. It is common Knowledge that all IC Members have Yet to Become Fully Capable to Discharge their Dutes , properly and faithfully and Dispense Justice to the Complainant as well the Employee-Respondent.
Not Only that, the Internal Committees have to File Mandatory Annual Reports for each Calendar Year and the Annual Report Must contain/include No of Workshops organized by the Employer for the IC Members and the other Employees.
