Hi All, One of our ex employee is asking for Copy of his offer letter as he misplaced it. Is it fine if we issue the same? Any chances of misusing this? Please guide me.

Hi Send a copy of the letter which will be available in your office records. Thanks and Regards,

It has happened in my company so many times. Definitely as an employer, we need to give duplicate copies of Offer Letter and Relieving Letter to ex-employees. The only case that I have always refused to give is duplicate copy of Salary Certificate (of an older period). There can be a chance of misusing it.

Hi, There is nothing wrong in issuing xerox copy of the offer letter to the ex-employee. If need be you may place a seal stating " duplicate copy".
