Hi, I have got a job offer in a new company but my current employer is insisting on completing two months notice period. But the new company is not willing to wait. I want to know if I leave the company without notice and abscond what will be the date of Exit in my Pf as I don't want any overlap of pf dates between my current and future employer as it will create problems in withdrawal or transfer of PF.

Good question !
If you abscond from duty without any information, you current employer will initiate disciplinary process and may provide you sufficient opportunity by serving warning letter one, warning letter two etc before final termination. Finally after serving termination they will close you will file and mark your date of relieving in the PF portal. Date of relieving may be either your last working day or date in which they despatched termination ( if they process salary as full month lop till the date of termination). It depends on the employer.
In my Organisation one employee left without information and joined other company, while we were initiating disciplinary action. Later after we served termination and closed his file we came to know that he joined other before our termination / relieving date so that he is not that able to transfer his PF as his date of joining with new employer was very much earlier than our relieving date.
So I would you suggest you to get relieved properly. Please talk to HR and negotiate on notice period like one month notice and one month pay etc. So that you will get proper relieving letter else during future back ground verification ( if new employer go for BGV) you will face trouble.

Hi, If I don’t serve notice period and tell my employment that I am not coming from today and consider yesterday as my last working day, then in that case what will be the date of Exit in pf?

Hi Even in that case HR has to follow proper disciplinary process.

I have found a possible solution. It has been almost two months since I got probation confirmation letter but I have not yet signed it. I just got a mail from HR asking me to send them a signed scanned copy of probation confirm letter. Can I consider that I am still on probation and accordingly ask my current employer that I reject the confirmation and therefore my notice period is 15 days only
