Kra and kpi - developing kpi, we must develop kra first?
I am in confusion about kra and kpi. one of my friends told me that without kra kpi will not work. so developing kpi we must develop kra first. if i develop kpi for the organization from mission vision and objective and then cascade down for the department as well as individual will it be wrong? if i can do that defining kra is not necessary. on the other hand there will be a relation between kpi and dashboard. is there anybody to help me to overcome from this problem?

Dear sirs we are in the process of setting kra . we are in manuafacturing sector . few months ago we have established safety dept. we have assigned kra for the safety officer is " achieve & maintain zero reportable accident status " . our safety officer is arguing that how hr can assign this type of kra to single dept or person . as per his statement hr need to give kra such that which are 100 in his control & not on other s. i am now confused . can anybody suggest kra for safety dept./safety officer i am expecting that seniors will show the way to me regarding this matter. thanx in advance abhay
