" Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Woman at Workplac Complaints By Internal Committee"
Internal Committee has been Created as an Independent Legal Body/Mechanism to Redress Complaints of Sexual Harassment of Woman at Workplace.
Internal Committee has been empowered/Vested with the Authority and Powers of Civil Courts to complete its Inquiry Proceedings which include i) Power to Enforce Appearance / Attendance of Any Person before the Committee to enable it to Ascertain the Facts of Complaints; and ii) Enforce Production and submission of Documents to Ascertain the Truth about S H Complaints.
Workplace in respect of an Aggrieved Woman includes a) the Place in Course of Her Employment and b) Arising out of Empoyment.
Internal Committee has to be Constituted by Every Employer in India under Section-4 of the "Sexual Harassment of Woman at Worplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act 2013 and
Internal Committee has to Compulsorily File, under Section-21 of the said Act, its Annual Report for each Calendar Year before the District Officer notified under Section-5 furnishing Data /Details of No of SH Complaints Filed etc in the Format prescribed in Rule-14
Internal Committee has 25 Legal Duties, Responsibilities and Role given to them by the said Act of 2013.
