New changes in notice period policy with respect to old employees and option of buying notice period
As per our company policies a notice of two calendar months is required by either side for discontinuing the service or payment of two months salary in lieu of notice. this has been recently changed and earlier it was one month notice period. our salary structure is divided in to four parts namely: 1. basic. 2. house rent allowances. 3. medical allowances and 4. other allowances. now my question is: 1. what would be the policy for old employees who have been earlier issued with an appointment letter of only one months notice period clause in it? 2. if the employees are willing to buy the notice period will it be a full month s gross salary or only pay without allowances.?
Servcie agreement and notice period
Hi could you anyone please advice on the below. i went onsite to serve my cilent for 1 year and came back in this august. as per agreement i have to serve my company for minimum period of 6 months. it is almost 3 months i came back to india and 3 months is the notice period as per company policy. now i am planning to leave this company due to personal things to be settled in my hometown. i am ready to serve 3 months period. my quey is will this notice period added to minimum service period as per agreement? or do i need to serve 6 months minimum and then i have to serve 3 months notice periodtotal 9 months? can it be fine if my notice period overlaps with minimum service period 6 months? below are the points concerned about in the agreement. point 6 says tyo serve minimum 6 months and point 8 says \"c fails to serve the employer for the period specified. in addition to this the employee is also governed by the three months notice period as per company policy.\".
Relieving issue from my current company
Hi i\'m working in mnc where notice period is 3 months but i\'ve got one document from the company in the form of \"employee agreement\" where it\'s clearly written that i can buyout my notice period but somehow informally management made it mandatory to serve 3 months notice period & they are accepting salary in lieu of notice period & due to this some good opportunities missing from my hand as no company is ready to hire with 3 months notice period actually i want to know is there any hidden policy can be there which can force me to serve mandatory notice period as company is in recent past has merged one from another kindly help me out with your valuable information on that
Notice period
Hi friends i am working in a software company from past 2 years. i have initiated my resignation for some reason. if company relive me in the notice period itself is company will give my notice period salary. in my offer letter it is geven as the employment with the company is subject to termination on two months prior notice by either side the company reserves the right to at its sole discretion substitute the notice period by paying you salary in lie of the notice period. some of my collegues are saying that company may change the policy and terminate without giving the notice period salary because of current market situation. is it can happen so.. please suggest and guide how i can defend myself.
Emloyer not issuing the release letter
I am an exemployee of an mnc. as per my appointment letter it was mentioned that there will be three months notice period from either side however company reserve the right to pay/ recover three months salary in lieu of notice period. now i have got a very good offer and put my resignation to my hr with one month notice period as my new employer was not ready to wait for more that 30 days as it was an urgent requirement of the position. i request my hr to recover two months salary in lieu of notice period and release me. now they are saying that as per internal policy of the management they will not adjust the salary in lieu of notice period or waive off the notice period. even they have threat me that if i do not serve the 90 days notice period they will not settle my accounts in terms of unauthorized absence. what is the solutions?
Issue in extention of notice period
We are software company based out of bangalore actually one of our employee deputed to our client place and he got the salary hike couple of months back during appraisal he had agreed orally that he will serve notice period for 3 months upon his oral approval we have revised his salary. prior to that notice period tenure was 2 months. he had not collected his notice period extension letter so far day before he had put down his resignation but our clients are not ready to leave him before 3 months. is he eligible to serve 3 months notice period? could any one guide me how to go ahead further. regards sudhar
