If National Holiday Falls on Weekly Holiday / Sunday, then will have to pay wage to employees for the extra day?
Suppose in October month having working Days - 26
& Total Sunday is - 05
& National Holiday ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ falls on Sunday
Then wages for how many days will have to pay 26 days or 27 days?
Our SAIL-RSP insisting that we have to pay the wages for 27 days. We think that they are wrong.
In which labour law we will get details to show them.
Please help us…..!

Even if a National Holiday falls on a Sunday, wages/ salary will be paid for the number of days available in a calendar month (31 days in this case). Only if an employee works on a National Holiday, he would be paid twice the wages, which has to be done with prior intimation in the prescribed format to the competent authority.

Empolyee will get wages for the avialable mandays i.e. 26/27, refere the NH/FH Act of the state. Regards
