Is it necessary for us to obtain separate clra registration for each establishment? 
I want to understand that if one company is registered under the clra and other allied businesses manufacturing set up are located in the same location and covered under the same registration certificate under the is it necessary for us to obtain separate clra registration for each establishment?
Are we the principal employer or our customer, to issue form 5 to enable them to obtain the clra license?
We are working on customer site as their contractors in jharkhand. we have our clra license from the customer. meanwhile we have engaged workmen on rolls of our 3rd party vendor at the customer premise to subcontract some specialized skill jobs. to obtain clra license this 3rd party vendor requires form 5 from the principal employer. my question is : are we the principal employer or our customer to issue form 5 to enable them to obtain the clra license? regards sania

Renewal of labour license
Dear seniors i am working in a construction company where we have taken labour licence under clra act for 1000 labours now our job is on completion stage and at present we have only 100 workers working with us at our project site. our work will continue for another two or three month in the next year. for this we have to renew our licence. problem is this that we have taken licence for 1000 nos of labours & the present strength is only 100 nos. i want to know whether there is any provision in clra to get the labour licence renewed for only 100 nos of labours. as per labour dept. we can increase the labour strength but can t reduce the labour strength in licence. seniors valuable advice is required immediately since i have to apply for renewal of licence in this month itslf. thanks & regards ingh

Dear all if contractor has engaged less than 20 workers in a co.and also not taken licence from labour authority. whether is it necessary for him to maintain all register & records as prescribed under clra act & is it necessary for him file a half yearly return form 24. pl. give expert advise.
Applicability of contract labour reg act clra - different branches to be considered as different establishments under clra?
If an organization has multiple branches at various centres and has employed a company for housekeeping work at all the branches. each branch has less than 5 employees working from the housekeeping company. however if we add the number of such employees at all the branches the total is more than 20. the payment to the housekeeping company is made by the individual branches for their housekeeping. in this case could the different branches to be considered as different establishments under is clra applicable in such a situation?
