I am working as Head HR in a indian company, management asking to settle 12 Manager grade Employee before Diwali. when i ME : asked the reason
Management : said company is in loss . we are unable to make profit
me : Still we are hiring why ? can we them to shift in other profile
Management : no
me : can we do this after Diwali
Management : no
me : but few of them are working since last 20 year
Management : but they are not good performer as coo report say
me : but i have check their increment letter last year we also gave special increment & appreciation.
Management : but he is not good performer as coo report say you talk to COO
me : sir one of employee loosed his wife just before 3 month he is not in position to face another shock i will not do !
COO- you are playing politics , i will do directly need not your involvement .
After that he has started contact my team directly & assigning task them . he used to call me 20 time in a day for all small & big task . i am not happy with the way he scold/ chillata hai . very short tempered / very rude / like only sho waji
I am feeling guilty for colleagues who have been fired . because i myself did.
me : sir we are doing good , we should respect our team at least time must be given to them .
coo - no time all must be relieve before given time other wise you will be responsible . you are responsible for this because if you would have controlled manpower cost & rejection level we were not required to fire anybody . Am i realy responsible ??? please guide we how to deal with this ?
