One of the Onroll employee has been terminated because of he is not given any proper information to HR Dept. and even not submitted his medical report and employee family not gone through ESIC for his better treatment at the time of initial stage. For his treatment, his wife admitted in charitable hospitals to get cure. But the employee not recovered the disease improved day by day and it was in worst condition, after that his wife requested to employer to activate the ESIC in the name of IP for benefits through Corporate Hospitals, As per esic manager's advice we activated his IP without wage and shown as 'On Leave' basis.
Now the issue is the employee died and his wife demanding us EDLI benefits. Kindly clarify that she may eligible as legal heir or any conditions applicable to the EDLI beneficiary after death and not in onroll.
Please advise me.
