Hi, If the employee resigns the company on October 28th, should the company pay his ESIC contribution

If the resignation is followed by a notice period of 1 month or 2 months or more whichever is applicable, then yes it is true that the company must pay the ESIC contribution till the last working date.
If this is a case, where the employee is exiting on 28th October, still the company has to pay the ESIC contribution, even though it is the start of a new contribution period.
