Dear sir,
Kindly help me
I am a senior manager in a company since 2017. yesterday 10th sept. his HR executive inform me by mail that your working stop w.e.f. 1 sept-2019 and you give the resign.
i have not done any mistake and not previously inform by HR or management.
Dear Manisha,
1)Can you attribute any reason like unprecedented reversal in the business operations of the Company ?
2)Is there any unhappy attitude of your immediate superior about your performance as a Senior Manager in the Company ever since your joining in 2017?
3)Are you the junior most Senior Manager in the Company?
4)What about the notice clause in the contract of employment regarding unilateral termination of employment by either party?
If your answers to all the first three questions are a mere "YES", the reason behind the move of asking you to resign on your own, in my inference, is to make your exit simple and inexpensive to the management.
If you are confident about your immediate employability and make the exit peaceful and non-problematic in view of your future career elsewhere, before resigning ask for waiver of notice period and then resign.
If you take the exit as ignominious and unjust and if you have the moral courage and the wherewithal to put up a tough fight, submit a polite reply to the email stating your constraints to comply with the request for resignation and let the management decide the next course.
