I work in Pharma Sector in my organistion one employeed joined as trainee in May 2017 and his training period got completed in May 2018 and after that he is being put for 6 months of probation period which got over in Nov-18. The concerned employeed resigned and left the organisation in May-19. So as per my knowledge he should get following EL/PL
For May-18 to Dec-18=12.25 days EL
For Jan-19 to May-19=8.75 days EL
But as per my senior he says that he should not get EL for 2018 as he has not completed 240 days man days as for first 5 months he was a trainee and this rule is not applicable for trainee.
Kindly advise if he should get EL for 2018.
