Hi, I am a B.Tech CSE graduate. I have completed a 4-month internship at a large MNC. Before joining, they asked us to sign an agreement for the internship, although the agreement was not signed on a stamp paper. Now, after the internship, I have decided not to join the company. During the interview, they mentioned a salary of 3.6 LPA, but after completing the internship, they informed us that they will only be paying 3 LPA. Due to this discrepancy, I have chosen not to accept the job offer. However, they are requesting 25,000 Rs as training fees. I do not wish to join as they have misled us with false information. What are the possible solutions to my problem? Do I have to pay the 25,000 Rs, or can I simply ignore their request?

Hi,

It depends on the terms and conditions of the service agreement. Also, are there any costs incurred by the company towards the training? Is there a clause that states you should join them after the internship? Please clarify.
