Hi Kirit,
Yes the practice of employees leaving the job without any information (absconding) has become very common. For such employees, employer has to follow the disciplinary process and to serve termination letter after warning process. In case, in future, if those employees were required to submit any proof about employment to any Govt agencies during such time they will regret for their past decisions.
On the other hand from employer side if the number of employees absconding is on the higher side, employer should also analyze the reason behind it like work environment, late work hours etc.

Yes, sourcing replacement immediately for such absconded cases is tough task. If you have received any Back ground verification email for your ex-employee, you may circulate it among all employees and make them understand the importance of proper resignation with notice period and in case of absconding how it will have adverse impact with their future employer.
