Sir,
I have two questions on PF
1) I have retired on 31st August, 2018 and I still retained my PF amount with EPFO. I was told that PF interest accrued after retirement is taxable, so considering that interest would be credited, I calculated approximate interest from retirement date to end of March, 2019 and paid advance tax. However I don't see any interest credited so far to my PF account for the year 2018-19
will I be getting interest after retirement , if so how long?
2) PF account with one of earlier companies became inoroperate due to some issue and delay in transferring to new account. After 9 years , I got the issues corrected and got it transferred to current PF account in Dec 2018, however interest was not paid for 9 citing inoperative account
Will I get interest for 9 years after it became inoperative as per 11th Nov, 2016 amendment?
Please let me know
Regards
