Dear DAP@1981,
Please note that business is a human activity, which is undertaken to provide goods and services to the people with a view to earning the profit. It is the profit that makes the business organisation grow. The growth is attained by the appointment of qualified staff and assigning them different duties and responsibilities. In modern workplaces, persons from the opposite gender are bound to work together. Against this backdrop, notwithstanding their marital status, they could develop closeness, which may not be acceptable to a few.
However, our objectives are not to police around deliver homilies on morality. As long as the discreet distance is maintained at the workplace, then everything is fine. What happens after crossing the boundary of the company is none of our business. Therefore, stop worrying about morality or immorality. Nevertheless, the following precautions need to be observed:
a) The pair needs to be counselled and told to maintain sufficient distance from each other. One can be amicable or outgoing at the workplace. But amicability does not require physical closeness.
b) Secondly, they may be told that their physical attraction could be a major distraction in their work. The distraction could cause job errors and sorting out those errors could be costly or time-consuming.
c) Thirdly, today's romantic overtures could be tomorrow's potential case for sexual harassment. Therefore, a male member of the couple needs to be told that he needs to apprise himself of the provisions of the POSH. If a woman files a complaint about sexual harassment, it could be a big headache for him and for the organisation also.
d) Fourthly, the pair's amorous advances towards each other would provide the biggest fodder to the grapevine. By chance, if the news reaches to their family members, it could create problems in their personal life.
e) Lastly, but most importantly, their amative relationship could result in either partner of the pair providing undue favours to the other. Conflict of interest could arise even if such favours are
Is it possible for you to unpair them by changing their departments? Is it possible to make sure that their workplaces are afar? If it is possible, then better you may do it. However, if you wish to follow this option then no counselling is required.

In addition we have tried to counsel both of them but they do not accept any thing about their relation and tries to catch HRD by making hidden complaints to the mgt.which impels to us to give explanations repetitively.
