Can some one pls clarify on following:
How many days to be taken into account while calculating monthly salary to daily wages?

Dear Sastry,
I think that your query is about conversion of monthly rates of minimum wages to that of daily rates. You can find the method of conversion mentioned in the explanatory note of the G.O issued by the appropriate Government fixing the minimum wages under the Minimum Wages Act,1948. You have to divide the monthly rate by 26 to arrive at the daily rate and in the case of daily rate only been fixed, you have to multiply it by 30 to arrive at the monthly rate. For all practical purposes, a month is deemed to have 30 days irrespective of the actual days in the calendar month.
Always, public holidays are paid holidays only.
If you still need further clarification, you may refer to the previous threads on the same subject.
