Fixing of minimum wages for dispatch assistant in up office having their company head office in bangalore
Dear colleagues we have taken a person in the grade of office boy for our lucknow depot. our head office is based at bangalore and we are processing salaries/wages from head office including payment of pf and esi contribution to concerned authorities. according to karnataka minimum wages i have go fix his wages rs.11300/ and according to up minimum wages i have go fix his wages at rs.7400/. i request you to share your views as to whether i should fix up wages or karnataka wages while issuing his appointment letter. can you please share your firm opinion on this so that it will be of great guidance and help for me.

Classification of workers
Dear all readers/members greetings to you i would request you to share with me the classification of workers under minimum wages as i need the same. to exemplify a security guard comes under semi skilled labour in delhi but is an unskilled labour in other states same goes for other category of workers. i do understand that it varies from state to state but have not found this classification in the minimum wages rules of various states and also on internet can i request for your valuable feedback on this regards rohit
Paying minimum wages
Hi all cite hr members i m working in a pharmaceutical company and we need to recruit workers in semi skilled category. i am little bit confused in framing salary bifurcation of the workers. i know that we can not pay below minimum wages to them. i just need to know that the minimum wages should be consolidated amount of basic and da but can we keep bifurcation in a way that the total salary bifurcation is above the minimum wages and keeping basic at the lower rate. is it necessary to bifurcate the whole salary in & da and deduct pf on minimum wages. or can we keep the basic & da low

Is minimum wages rule for workers only
Dear seniors as far as i know as per minimum wages act the minimum wages defined for a particular state can t be broaken in to basic/da allowances. if it is x figure it has to be paid in basic da only. but does the rule apply for the staff employees of an organisation coz as seen in some of the org. workers are getting the minimum wages as per rule but the salary of some of the staff employees is bifurcated in a way that the basic da goes even less than the minimum wages provided for the state. is it right to do it. or the employers are just taking benefit out of it. please clarify. regards rahul
