Dear all, Please help me understand few things. Its a case wherein an employee exited and wants us to approve his KYC on PF portal as well as exit on PF portal.
Following details-
date of joining-01/04/2019
Date of joining exit-14/05/2019
resigned on -13/5/19
resignation accepted by manager- 13/5/19
notice period- 1 month .
He didn't served notice due to his personal problem. hence, he left organisation on 14th May 2019, without serving notice period or buy out.
He said he is ready to buy out. He asked to adjust his 14 days salary against his buy out.
He want only KYC approval on PF portal and also mark exit on PF portal.
Management says that he has not served notice period. He left company simply emailing us to adjust his 14 days salary against buy out. Hence, his exit formality is not completed. He has resigned but not served notice period or buy out, hence considered as absconding.
Please suggest on this case. Can we consider this case as absconding? how about KYC approval and exit on PF portal.

Hi, Even though employee left without information, didn't served proper notice period you cannot keep open his file for long years.
As the employee agreed to adjust his 14 days salary against notice period, either you may relieve him properly or terminate his employment for not reporting and not serving, as per your Company policy. What ever it may be, close his case as per his last working day and update it in the PF Portal.
