Dear All, I am Arun, working as HR in an Industry in Nagercoil. I have some doubts regarding EPF pension. Do we have any minimum period criteria for withdrawing pension? I heard it's 10 years. Is the year period is mandatory?Please help me out regarding this query.

Hi, Yes, if the employee exceeds 9.6 years of service then can't withdraw pension contribution. He/she will get scheme certificate which can be continued with future employer and he/she will get pension after 58 years only.
In case service less than 9.6 years both and PF and Pension can be withdrawn. However it is always advisable to transfer PF and Pension to new employer PF account so as to accumulate some savings for retirement.
