My brother went to his office in morning shift and collapsed in office .the office people got him hospitalized and he was diagnosed with brain stroke. it was life threatening critical illness.
admitted to hospital on 27 sept 18 , surgery done on 3 october 18.patient hospitalized till november 18 ,suffered left side paralysis.then patient attends physiotherapy sessions from december 18--jan 19 .second surgery done on 6 feb 19.
The insurance company does reimbursement of hospital bills ,physiotherapy bills. but because of co-pay in insurance; family suffers 1.5 lakhs loss. patient s company pays him only for 3 months from october --dec 18 . salary not paid from jan 19--may 19.patient suffers permanent disability still at home
We all go to work. and work very hard for years .We also work in shifts morning ,evening ,NIGHT shifts .Till the time we are fit and running no issues . But what if we suffer CRITICAL ILLNESS and get hospitalized while on job.? What is the Company s Role and responsibility in this situation.?
While working I dont remember ever asking an HR. about the Medical Insurance Cover but I heard some employees getting hospitalized.What if some employee suffers from life threatening illness while on job. say a person gets a Stroke or meets with an accident in Company transport then what happens ?
What if the employee gets disabled , paralytic and is not able to resume work even after 1 year .who is responsible ?.Does the employee get salary compensation even after 1 year or more if he/she is in disabled state ? What if the employee is not able to resume life like before ?.
It is very easy to leave an injured employee onto the family.What if the person has no one except old parents ?.the old parents will take care of themselves or their child who has got injured.?
A person goes to hospital there is risk to the person s life.There are medical bills to paid at times in lakhs .10–15–20 lakhs or even more. What if the family cannot bear these bills what should they do .let their family member die .?
Even if a person survives what if a person will require medical treatment for a longer period of time more than 6 months. a person might require emotional support .other forms of treatment like physiotherapy ,nursing care ,medicines. who ll pay for expenses running in lakhs .?.It seems in such situation the so called Friends and close ones are the first ones to run away.everyone suddenly becomes very busy.
What is the mistake of a person ;if someone cannot handle the increasing Job Stress.?What future such a person will have if they get disabled .? Why should such a person be left ,dumped onto the family for recovery. till the time you r fit and fine ,u r of use to the company u work in.Once u get injured leave the person alone onto the family.what if the person goes into depression .?
