Our Organization always deduct epf of employees having salary less than or equal to 15000.
Few days back Enforcement Officer visited our Firm telling us it is mandatory to pay EPF of any employee whose had a UAN number (or EPF deducted) in previous firm even if his current salary is above 15000.
He told me one of our employees had his EPF deducted 5 years ago in an old firm, so we need to deduct his epf even if his present salary is greater than 15000.
Please help by stating:
Whether is it true?
Where is it written under EPF Act, if it is true?

Need process flow to be ensure by Exempted Establishment on transfer of Employee from Unexempted Establishment.

Is it mandatory to deduct pf of employee who had UAN in previous company and withdraw his PF. and presently have more than 15000 in other company.

As per EPF Scheme, Para 69, (5) - Any member who withdraws the amount due to him under subparagraph (2) shall, on obtaining re-employment in a [factory or other establishment] to which the Scheme applies, be required to qualify again for the membership of the Fund and on qualifying for membership shall be treated as a fresh member thereof.
