Epf deductions whether to consider other allowance
What are the components to be considered while contributing to epf. we are contributing on basic only. whether we have to take into consideration of hra and uniform allowances. ctc being 16000 basic 8000permonth hra 3200permonth uniform 1500per month other allowance balancing figure. 3300 we have deducted 1200from employee and the same is contributed by company and remitted to epfo . do we have to consider other allowance 3300 to calculate pf? as hra and uniform allowances are exempted from epf we have not considered for epf calculations.do we have to consider that for calculating epf as it is below 1500080003300remaining 3700 you can also send clarifications to sl. chandtashekaryahoo.com or whatsapp to 8150902999.pls send notifications if there are for the above stated questions.
Epf contribution will not attract on hra, conveyance and washing allowance
Dear members please read out the latest judgement published in labour law reporter september 11 issue page no. 943 & 944 the definition given under sec 2 b of epf can not be equated with the definition given under the minimum wages act for basic wages. hence splitting of minimum wages is not a violation to have epf contribution on basic wages. ref: 2011 llr 943 of punjab & haryana high court. lpa no.1139/2011 o&m dt. 20/07/2011

Sir we have salary components as 60 hra 30 and cca20. for pf calculation hra to be added or not?...kindly explain.
Epf on allowances - can i show 40% basic plus 60% hra so that no need of deducting epf on total wages?
Dear all i am working for a shopping mall where most of the employees are covered under epf and their wages are <15000. as of nowwe are deducting their epf on basic of 40. as per new supreme court order we have to pay the epf on all the allowances except few. can i show 40 basic plus 60 hra so that no need of deducting epf on total wages. or is there any other way as our employees are also not interested to deduct pf on total wages. please advise.
Remodelling salary structure as per present trends
Please advise... we at present have our salary structure bifurcated into basic transport and hra. now we want to restructure it and introduce allowances like special allowance city allowance etc. so as to control the employer s liability pf contribution encashment of leaves gratuitywhich is directly effected by basic salary. my querry is that for people whose present basic salary is more than 6500/ p.m. will it attract any legal implication if their basic salary gets reduced. eg. suppose present salary is 10000 basic 2000 hra n we restructure it as 8000 basic 2000 hra 2000 will it attract any legal complication as we are reducing the basic salary component? note that we have a cieling limit for pf contribution as 6500/ p.m. please clarify rolly
