Hello,
I have a few of questions and would be grateful to get some expert advice.
The EPF contribution for the employees in our company was being calculated on their basic salary. Now with recent supreme court judgement (mar 2019) we are changing the EPF wages to include all the allowances except HRA. So here are my questions regarding the same.
  1. Can we safely exclude HRA from PF Wages calculation?
  2. Earlier we were not capping PF wages to the statutory limit of Rs.15000. But we will start doing so now. So for those employees whose old PF Wages were more than 15000 will now decrease to 15000 i.e. EPF contribution will go down. Will this be fine?
  3. If the answer to 2nd question above is "No" then can we set the ceiling limit to whatever their old (last EPF wage) was (which was more than 15000)?
Thank you
