Hi Nadeem,
For Recruitment : Through - Employment Exchange, Job portals,Campus Recruitment, Mainly us local resources
For Interviews : Should take much time for One to one interview, use prescribed questions, use selection questionnair like ( Psychomatric & General knowledge with maths )

Hi Nadeem,

There are several ways to source candidate for (say) XYZ position. Viz
  • Own Friend Circle

    Friend's Reference

    Internal Employee's Referral

    Portals

    Advertisements

Now when you have gathered good no. of resumes / applications.

Make a call to the candidate, spend about 20 minutes on phone, talk about
  • Experience ,

    Areas of interest ,

Why is he changing his job ,

Who told him about this opening ,

Why is he interested in this job and company ,

His current achievements and failures ,

His ctc , expected ctc, time to join ,

    His family details

    Expected time to attend interviews

Don't forget to ask

Does he have any offers in hand , if yes, what is the salary offered by that company, what is the Date of joining given to him.

When the talk is over : Make a note of the talk and give a rating to the candidate. Proceed to next candidate similarly.

There is one more thing that you can always prepare a Printed Interview Sheet with neccesary questions and use the same for all the candidates.

Now call the candidate who are short-listed from 1st round for In-Person interview and use the 2nd level Interview sheet (Can be prepared using tough questions including Psychological / Attitudinal Questions).

Share the roles and responsibilities of the position and tell about your company to the candidate.

Also collect all relevant Documents from the candidate.

If you really find the candidate worth this job then go ahead for salary discussion and make an offer to the candidate.

This is one of the regular and most reliable ways of hiring any candidate for any position

NOTE: ALL THE ROUNDS NEED NOT BE CONDUCTED BY ONE PERSON ONLY BUT SHOULD BE CONDUCTED BY DIFFERENT PEOPLE SO THAT YOU WILL HAVE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ABOUT A CANDIDATE , THERE MAY BE DIFFERENT VIEWS NOTED BY TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE.

AND WILL BE EASIER FOR YOU TO COME TO A CONCLUSION.

Any confusion...do write me. Any new question ...do ask me. :)

Thanks

Minakshi
