Duty hour changed from 12 to 8 hour for worker - any legal obligation for moving the plant work hours?

Hi, Here Sunil Kumar Yadav, i want to know any legal obligation for moving the plant from 12hour to 8 hour? Can i know the procedure in legal way? Kindly guide me.

Kindly refer Sec 51,52,53 and 54 in this connection Chapter VI of Factories act deal with working hours. Kindly refer your state factories rules also in this connection
