PF Contribution - Whether HRA can be excluded from pf contribution?

Dear Experts, Whether HRA can be excluded from pf contribution? Say, Salary is 25000/- bifurcation possible 12500/- Basic and 12500/- hra so , PF can be calculated on basic only.

HRA can not exceed 1 lac per year without the compliance of Income Tax also the HRA can not exceed 40% ( 50% in certain cities) of basic payable, check your city criteria with income tax tables
