Taking trainee for 3 months with stipend
For taking a trainee on stipend for a duration of 3 months be applicable for esi or pf. the stipend is rs 15100/ per month. the training may be extended or terminated after 3 months. else the trainee maybe absorbed on roles in which case will pay pf above 21k.

We appoint a trainee for 12 months period. due to some unavoidable circumstances he quit the training after 9 months. is it recommended to issue him experience letter for that period? experts please advice. regards dhanesh kumar

Many organisations recruit a new employee as trainee for first 3/6 months. later the employee on successful completion of training is put on probation and later for confirmation. please inform lawful leave norms for a trainee. also whether pf and esi is applicable on a trainee staff? i understand that even a casual mason or plumber or electrician if visits the employment for repairs attracts esi contribution. request seniors to respond please.

Whether an establishment can initiate disciplinary action against a trainee for suppression of facts in collusion with a regular employee? although it was advised that termination of the trainee employee can be effected immediately without assigning any reason in line with the terms of training order the management is specific in initiating disciplinary action against the trainee and if proved the term of training period of the trainee be terminated with the sound reasons. in the classification "trainee" also defined as a workman. the said trainee is not an act apprentice. request seniors views please.
Trainees salary
Hi all we are into ite services. recently we appointed 20 people in our company as trainees. as per our appointment contract they will be named trainee for a period of four months. once they complete training sucessfully they will be appointed as full time employee of our company. now the problem is that our management wants to keep first months salary of those trainees on hold. once a trainee sucessfully completes his/her training first months salary will be released. we want to mention this point on offer letters. can it be possible legally. is there anything in our labour laws against this type of provisions. please suggest me with details. thanks & regards debajyoti
