Dear all we are telecom industry registered under central clra act we have few contractors like securitypantry workers etc.. one of our contractors giving state minimum wages to deputed employees here i have a doubt whether they have to follow state minimum wages or central minimum wages? most of them recommending contractor should give central minimum wages. but contractor point of view they have pan india services and providing services to all even the principal employer registered under clra act. also contractor telling that same kind of work done for all principal employer so we cant give central minimum wages... can you suggest me how to resolve this i need strong clarity regarding this.

Hello friend s can any one clarify the doubts regarding monthly wages payment to workmen is mandatory to pay through bank account only under any act of labour law. is it applicable in central sphere at present or any state govt act. if yes please support the documents from which it has been effected. also clarify under central sphere is any specific provision for height allowance i.e. 20 wages extra pay to height workers working more then 30 feet of height. your valuable advice is support for us. regards mahesh gupta

Actions as principal employer
My bank floated a tender for providing security services through open tender one security agency was selected for the same at service chargeagency charge of 2 the total quantity of security guards supplied are 32. the wage structure was as per dgrdirector general resettlement/ central minimum wages also he agreed to provide two pairs of uniform to its guards. when he produced the first bill it was found without epf and esi challans also in the salary statement of the guards one allowance i.e. uniform outfit allowance was also missing. on our repeated instruction he has paid the esi and epf but now he is adamant for not paying uniform outfit allowance as he is providing free uniform. he is claiming uniform outfit allowance from usbank but not passing the same to the guards now his bill for the month of july is pendingcontract started from 1st july 2015 and he has refused to pay salaries to the guards for the month of augustsalaries for the month of july has been paid to guards without outfit allowance. what should be our action as principal employer.
