Dear cite hr members i have an query of how one establish a successful career in the field of training and development. i am from delhi and i am aware of the institute istd which offers diploma in training and development but after the completion of course are the student placed by istd as well as this is a distance learning course. what are the other alternatives that one can consider while starting up a career in training and development? i hope all the trainerscorporate freelance and professionals in t&d would suggest lot of ways through which i can establish a career in t&d. just to add up i have done my bachelors of science in management from an international university and about to complete my masters in hr from symbiosis distance learning. i have almost 2 years of experience in the field of hr corely into talent acquisition employee engagement internal communication.

It is granted that the career development of employee chains the development of an organization. and the development of individual will bring return for him/herself and the organization employed him/her. but in different companies the career development method is different. what s more career development is not in the same way with skill training/knowledge impartion. how do u help your staff develop their career competency in your company? by courseware by training or teaching? or?

I m creating a new development career plan in my organization as the following: we re planning to transfer the talent employees in the organization to another positions so we can motivated them to learn new things and achieve their goals through a predefined plan by the mangers and employees. in your opinion what is the best practice for this and is it a valid plan or not.

Greetings. i am brand new to this site and was hoping that you folks could help me. i am currently a 'change management leader' in hr for a utility company in the canadian arctic. one of my responsibilities is to process map the 'training & development' processes. they are broken down as follows: list1 general office skills apprentices performance improvement plan pip for individuals corporate development program continued training career development plan succession executive development ach is being looked at as a separate process. i need to develop a set of procedures and process maps / flowcharts for each. we really do not have anything formal in place yet. i was hoping to create these documents based on industry best practices and customize them from there. oh yes we outsource the actual training as we are located in a very remote arctic village without the resources available. i hope that i have given you enough information. thank you in advance for your time and consideration. eric
