Since the Twin Objective of Standing Orders is to i) "Define with Sufficient precision the Terms & Condition of Employment in Industrial Esta and ii) Make them Known ( understood and accept and act accordingly) to the Employed Persons;
Does it Not Behove that irrespective of No of Employed Persons in an Industrail Esta, the Estas ought to have Standing Orders and on similar pattern some Codified Service Rules for Uniform application on all and such Orders /Rules touch upon the Importantsubjects of Leave- application & Avialment, Discipline & Disciplinary Action-Steps, Dos etc. Laws prescribes the Minimum Norm, Building thereon id Development especially when Uniformity, Equality, Unity, Fraternity, Fairness , Progress, Properiety and Justice arein the limelight. Time to Ponder

In state of UP also, number prescribed is 20 . Also, I wish to suggest that your company should have its own SO, in full agreement with Kritarth Team. You will have own and well defined Service Rules and definite windows will be open to you for building up healthy industrial relations culture . The administration of SO is subject matter of respective states. You will find, number requirement varies from State to State Certification.
